To communicate with the T‑POD via a POD
USB Adaptor, you need to install a Virtual Com Port driver (made by Future
Technology Devices International Ltd).
To install the Virtual Com Port driver:
open the Future Technology Devices International Ltd drivers download page
in a new browser window.
In the VCP section of the page, download the driver
2.04.06, which consists of the file CDM 2.04.06 WHQL Certified.zip
(820 KB) into
the POD\USB Driver folder on your PC.
In the Future Technology Devices International Ltd
drivers download page, click on the Installation Guides link and
download the appropriate guide for your operating system into the POD\USB Driver
Open the POD\USB Driver folder on your PC.
Unzip the contents of the file CDM 2.04.06
WHQL Certified.zip into the POD\USB Driver folder.
Follow the Installation Guide procedure to install
Verify the USB installation on your computer as
described in the driver Installation Guide.
The entry should show 'USB Serial Port (COMx)',
where x is a value from 2 to 7. Make a note of the number as you will
need to enter it when you run TPOD.exe.
Installation is complete and your computer is now ready
to communicate with the T‑POD.
