Delivery
Chelonia Ltd will endeavor to meet estimated delivery times, subject to events within their control. However, we will be deemed to have no control over certain events affecting delivery, including (without limitation) any adverse weather conditions, traffic congestion, mechanical breakdown, obstruction of public or private highway, war, political unrest, unforeseen event such as the COVID-19 pandemic, or from any industrial action whatsoever.
The Buyer will reimburse Chelonia Ltd for all costs and duties incurred if the Consignment is returned to us after a failed attempt to deliver to the Buyer’s address.
If there is any shortage in items, or external damage to the parcel and/or goods, the Buyer must immediately send photos (taken from all angles) showing the damage, together with a detailed report, to Chelonia Ltd who will contact the carrier for an explanation. If satisfied, we will send a replacement.
Chelonia Ltd will not replace items lost or damaged due to Customs Inspection.
Payment terms
Payment must be made within 30 days of the date of invoice, which is issued at the time of shipping. The goods, and any data obtained, remain the property of Chelonia Limited until the invoice is paid in full.
Customers must ensure that they pay any bank charges, so that the full amount invoiced is paid to settle their account.
The preferred method of payment is by bank transfer; our bank details can be found on the invoice. We regret we are unable to accept cheques. Payment via PayPal and by credit card using PayPal is accepted. However, a charge equal to that levied by PayPal will be added to the invoice to cover any costs incurred by us.
Data Protection
When you submit an order, you are allowing Chelonia Limited to use your personal details solely for the purpose of fulfilling your order. Personal data is collected in accordance with the UK Data Protection Act, 1998. Any information you give will only be used to provide the service you have requested and will not be disclosed to any other organisations or individuals outside Chelonia Limited. If there is a problem with your order, we will contact you via e-mail or telephone.
Title of goods
Risk of damage to, or loss of, goods shall pass to the buyer at the time of delivery. Both goods and any data collected are the property of Chelonia Limited until invoices are paid in full, at which time ownership (title) of the goods and data will pass to the buyer. Customers ordering on behalf of clients are responsible for ensuring payment.
Damaged goods and claims
In the unlikely event that goods are delivered damaged, customers must notify Chelonia Limited in writing within one week of receipt of the goods.
Faults
If you think an instrument has a fault, please contact us immediately to discuss it. We may be able to resolve the problem over the phone or by email. If your enquiry is urgent, please telephone.
Repairs
We offer a free repair service on PODs under our 2 year guarantee for faults due to manufacturing parts failure, providing the damage has not arisen from ingress of water, misuse, violent impacts or prolonged vibration.
Faults experienced after 2 years from date of despatch, or which we believe to have been caused by any of the above, will be repaired at cost. A quotation will be supplied on request after the POD has been inspected.
